Where does the video come from?

We are a catalog, not a video host: episodes play in partners’ embedded players. Quality, dubs and speed come from them, not from us.

Why do some titles have no player?

It means no partner has it yet. We mark such titles right on the poster so you don’t open the page for nothing.

How do lists and community tags work?

Lists are yours and live in your profile. Tags come from people: add your own on a title page or vote for someone’s, and the catalog searches by them.

How do I change my nickname or avatar?

In your profile, under “Edit”. The nickname is public and forms your page address; your email is never shown to anyone.

Who can see my profile and lists?

Your profile is public by default, but one switch in profile settings changes that, down to “nobody”. Lists, collections and reviews hide separately. Your email is never shown and no setting can turn it on.

It's been a thousand years since the Gauna, a strange alien race with no known method of communication, destroyed the solar system. A portion of humanity managed to escape using enormous "seed ships" like the Sidonia, which have allowed them to maintain the population while drifting through space. Nagate Tanikaze is a young man who has been raised deep in the bowels of the ship. When he goes into training to pilot the huge robotic weapons known as Gardes, Nagate is entrusted with piloting the legendary unit known as Tsugumori.
